Build Your Core Asset

Initial Setup Checklist

  1. Find a real LinkedIn profile of someone whose headline is just their job title.
  2. Use Prompt 1 to simulate an interview to extract their hidden achievements.
  3. Use Prompt 2 to rewrite those achievements into a compelling Headline and About section.
  4. Ensure the final text uses strong action verbs and concrete numbers.
  5. Verify that the AI did not invent any fake awards, numbers, or degrees.

Action Prompts

PROMPT 1: Simulate the Achievement Interview
Act as a B2B Software Sales Manager whose current LinkedIn profile just says 'Responsible for selling software'. I am interviewing you to uncover your real achievements. Tell me: What was your quota last year and did you hit it? What was the biggest deal you closed? How many people do you manage? Provide specific, realistic numbers.
PROMPT 2: Draft the Profile Optimization
Act as an executive resume writer. Using the specific sales numbers and achievements the manager just provided, write a new LinkedIn Headline (under 120 characters) and a 3-paragraph About section. The About section must highlight their specific revenue achievements, leadership skills, and the types of enterprise clients they close. Do not use robotic words like 'delve' or 'testament'.

Finished Example

This is an illustrative finished example for educational purposes.
A Google Doc containing: **New Headline:** Senior Enterprise Sales Manager | 120% Quota Attainment | Scaling SaaS Revenue from $1M to $5M **About Section:** I build and lead high-performing sales teams in the B2B SaaS space. Over the last three years at [Company], I restructured our outbound strategy, growing territory revenue by $4M and consistently exceeding quota by 120%. My biggest win involved closing a complex 9-month, $800k enterprise deal with a Fortune 500 logistics firm. I specialize in complex deal cycles, team mentorship, and enterprise software.

Common Mistakes

  • Allowing the AI to invent fake numbers

Impact: If a client pastes fake achievements into their profile and gets caught during a job interview, their reputation (and yours) is ruined.

Correction: Never guess. Only feed exact, verified client numbers into the AI.

  • Writing a generic 'Team Player' summary

Impact: Recruiters ignore summaries filled with buzzwords like 'synergy', 'motivated', and 'team player'.

Correction: Replace adjectives with evidence. Instead of 'great leader', write 'managed a team of 12'.

  • Making the text too dense

Impact: Recruiters skim profiles in 5 seconds. Huge walls of text will not be read.

Correction: Keep paragraphs to 2-3 sentences max. Use bullet points for key achievements.

Failure Recovery Warning: Diagnostic guidelines for profile optimization.

Practice Execution

  1. Find a friend or colleague willing to let you practice on their profile.
  2. Host a 15-minute call and ask them: 'What are you most proud of achieving at work last year?'
  3. Take notes on their specific numbers, projects, and results.
  4. Run Prompt 2 in your AI tool using your interview notes.
  5. Paste the AI output into a blank Google Doc.
  6. Act as an editor: manually delete any corporate jargon or buzzwords.
  7. Send the Google Doc to your friend and ask if it accurately represents their work without sounding fake.
Supplementary Methodology & Evidence
Methodology & Evidence: Prompting the AI to act as the client first (Prompt 1) forces you to practice information extraction. Most bad LinkedIn profiles are the result of the owner being too modest or unable to articulate their wins. Your primary job is investigative interviewing; the AI simply handles the formatting.
