Build Your Core Asset

Initial Setup Checklist

  1. Find a professional podcast on YouTube or Apple Podcasts that lacks good social media promotion.
  2. Copy a 5-minute section of their transcript containing a strong opinion or lesson.
  3. Use Prompt 1 to instruct the AI to analyze the speaker's tone and extract the core idea.
  4. Use Prompt 2 to format that idea into a native LinkedIn post.
  5. Manually edit the AI output to remove robotic words (like "delve" or "transformative") and ensure factual accuracy.

Action Prompts

PROMPT 1: Extract and Analyze Voice
I am going to provide a transcript from a B2B leadership podcast. Your job is twofold. First, identify the single most counter-intuitive or valuable lesson the speaker shares. Second, analyze the speaker's tone—are they formal, aggressive, casual, or academic? Here is the transcript: [Insert text]
PROMPT 2: Draft the Social Post
Using the core lesson and tone you just identified, write a LinkedIn post promoting this podcast episode. The post must start with a short, punchy hook. It should use short paragraphs (1-2 sentences max). Do not use hashtags, emojis, or words like 'delve', 'moreover', or 'transformative'. End with a call-to-action telling the reader to listen to the full episode in the comments.

Finished Example

This is an illustrative finished example for educational purposes.
A Google Doc containing: **Post 1: The Standup Myth** Daily standup meetings are destroying your team's focus. Most managers use them to feel in control. But developers use them to practice looking busy. In my recent interview with [CEO Name], she explained why they killed the daily standup and replaced it with a shared asynchronous log. Productivity jumped 22% in one month. Stop managing presence. Start managing output. Link to the full breakdown in the comments below.

Common Mistakes

  • Leaving generic AI words in the final text

Impact: The host will immediately recognize it was written by ChatGPT and reject your work for sounding inauthentic.

Correction: Manually read the post out loud. Delete words like 'delve', 'testament', or 'landscape' and replace them with plain English.

  • Misquoting or altering the guest's meaning

Impact: This destroys the host's credibility if they publish a post claiming the guest said something they did not.

Correction: Always fact-check the final post against the original transcript to ensure the core meaning is identical.

  • Creating a post that doesn't drive curiosity

Impact: If you summarize the entire episode perfectly in the post, nobody has a reason to click the podcast link.

Correction: Give away the 'What' but make them listen to the episode to get the deep 'How'.

Failure Recovery Warning: Diagnostic guidelines for content repurposing.

Practice Execution

  1. Go to YouTube and find a 20-minute interview featuring a business expert.
  2. Open the YouTube transcript feature and copy a 5-minute chunk of text where they discuss a specific tactic.
  3. Paste that text into your AI tool along with Prompt 1 to extract the core lesson.
  4. Run Prompt 2 to format that lesson into a LinkedIn post.
  5. Paste the result into a blank Google Doc.
  6. Act as an editor: manually rewrite the first line (the hook) to make it punchier. Delete any unnecessary adjectives.
  7. Read it out loud. If it sounds like a human wrote it, your practice sample is ready.
Supplementary Methodology & Evidence
Methodology & Evidence: Writing for social media is entirely different from writing essays. Formatting (line breaks, hooks) matters as much as the content. AI is excellent at extracting ideas from transcripts, but it requires human editing to achieve the conversational tone required for platforms like LinkedIn.
