Outreach Strategy

Target: Small e-commerce businesses selling into a market that speaks the target language, or businesses with a website available only in one language when their social media shows multilingual audience engagement.

Channel: Email or LinkedIn message to the business owner or marketing manager.

Follow-Up Limit: 1

Sequence:
  1. Identify a business whose product or content would clearly benefit from the target-language version.
  2. Translate one short sample section without being asked, as a quality demonstration.
  3. Send the sample with your outreach message so the client can evaluate quality immediately.
  4. Follow up once if no reply within five days.

Outreach Template

Hi [Name], I noticed your website or product listings are available only in English. If [TARGET LANGUAGE] speakers are part of your customer base, presentation in their language reduces friction and increases trust at the point of purchase. I provide AI-assisted translation with bilingual human review for general marketing and product content in the [LANGUAGE PAIR] pair. I can translate and review a sample listing for you at no charge so you can assess the quality directly. Would that be useful?

Objections & Replies

  • Objection: We already use Google Translate.

Response: Google Translate handles straightforward text reasonably well. The gap appears in marketing copy and technical terms, where idioms translate literally and sound unnatural to a native reader. I review the AI output as a bilingual speaker, so errors in tone and terminology are caught before your customers see them.

  • Objection: Is this translation professionally certified?

Response: My service is AI-assisted translation with bilingual human review—it is appropriate for general marketing, product, and content materials. For documents that legally require certified or sworn translation (immigration papers, court documents, medical records), you need a credentialed translator, and I can help you find the right resource for that.

  • Objection: We have sensitive documents. Can you handle those?

Response: Before starting any engagement involving confidential content, we agree on which tools are permitted for your sensitivity level. For highly confidential material, I can work with tools that have enterprise privacy commitments, or I can advise you on alternatives if AI use is not appropriate for your content category.

Turnaround Time

General content batches of up to 1,000 words can be delivered within 24 hours after intake confirmation and confidentiality protocol agreement. Larger batches or domain-specific content requiring research may take 48–72 hours.

Tracker Guidance: Track each client by language pair and content domain. Note any ambiguity flags you raised and how the client resolved them. Record whether any content was outside your qualification scope and how you handled the referral.

Delivery & Fulfillment Mechanics

  1. Source Intake: Receive the source text, confirm language pair, content domain, target audience, and any specific brand terminology.
  2. Confidentiality Protocol: Confirm with the client whether AI tool use is approved for this content's sensitivity level. Document the agreement.
  3. First-Pass Translation: Run the AI translation using Prompt 1 with the appropriate tone and domain instructions.
  4. Human Review: Read the full output in the target language. Mark idiom errors, terminology deviations, and passages requiring source clarification.
  5. Terminology Log Update: Add or verify all domain-specific terms against the client's approved terminology log.
  6. Ambiguity Flags: Raise any source-text ambiguities to the client and wait for resolution before finalising those passages.
  7. Formatting: Ensure the translated document matches the structure and format of the source document.
  8. Client Review: Deliver the translation to the client for review before publication. Specify what they should check.
  9. Revision: Address any meaning concerns raised by the client promptly.
Supplementary Methodology & Evidence
Commercial & Acquisition: A translated sample—not a proposal—is the highest-impact first outreach tool. Clients who cannot read the target language cannot evaluate a pitch, but they can share the sample with a native-speaking employee or customer for feedback.
